That is hard to say. Apples to oranges comparison. He was a conditioned athlete, physically strong and early in his career, determined. Boxing rules differ greatly from UFC and most other MMA events.

Who could punch faster or harder?

He probably has a great advantage here, but today's fighters are excellent strikers as well. None that I can name could punch with Tyson.

Most fighters, formerly or currently fighting in the UFC, don't trade punches. Tyson generated his punghing power from an upright position, lunging and torquing his overdeveloped upper body. It is very difficult to punch your way out of a position of disadvantage (for me, on the ground), when you are used to standing up.

In a boxing match, I would agree 100%, in MMA, who is to say.

He was a machine; a very physical athlete, but without the guidance of his trainer and mentor, he could not focus.

We could ask all the same questions substituting Muhammad Ali, Evander Holifield, or (my personal hero) George Foreman, and most of my answers would be the same.

I think I remember now. I was temporarily banned and created new accounts. I did not know it was a temporary ban.

The temprary ban was went away and the account was still there. I then fogot about ii in favor of my new accounts.

I had totally forgotten about his cross training. I was basing my opinion only on his formidable boxing skills. A cannibalistic, wrestling super-boxer he was; now recalling his appetite for destruction, I stand corrected.

I still have to disagree with you on Gracie; Tyson never tried anyone that spicy before.
