I did a search too just to see what came up. I know a guy that's trained with the Apache Knife guys. Their training methodology focuses on, among other things, sparring with trainers with fake blood smeared on the forearms, to simulate the slipperiness that can happen when fighting. So, that's a consideration that they make in training that I haven't really seen elsewhere. The guy I know is a park ranger, and he's usually carrying like 3 concealed knives.
I'm fairly certain that their style doesn't come from a direct master to student progressive curriculum kind of thing; they knife spar and draw a bit on Apache history. Like most Native American martial arts, its not a pure ancient fighting art and seems to be from the more familiar pattern of a Native American guy learning outside martial arts then appropriating them in his own culture's trappings. -

It appears there have been a few books/DVDs published on the subject matter - my interest extends to whether anyone outside of the US that claims to teach this is probably Book schooled, which is say not very schooled at all.
The US Military links I come up with are these, or derivatives of are like this, Permalost - is this the mob your Ranger mate trained with?
