Do you think this is right?

In school I followed people to watch a fight. Since I didn't prevent it, me and my family might get sued. I don't know if there's a law for this, but I don't think there is. There were people watching the fight and calling the fighters pussies, and they didn't even get in trouble. No reffer also or anything. Do you think this is right?

I believe it is called the good Samaritan law, not sure where it is in effect though. Or to what degree. Or how it would apply to a civil case where you're getting sued.

good Samaritan or not.. in many cases this law makes it illegal to not put your life and health on the line for complete strangers. I seriously doubt that there is such a law.

So this was a schoolyard fight? Highschool? Were either fighters injured? How many other spectators were there?

Where are you from? (what jurisdiction did this occur?) What were the circumstances? How old we're the fighters? How old are you?

In a civil case this sounds like it would be negligence.

Anybody can be sued kid. It should be summarily dismissed. The only liable you'd be held for is if you possibly encouraged it. Even then if you're a minor in a public area it would be hard to prove. Basically your parents house insurance is what covers it and this is what the lawyer is counting on.
