Man, Mike is so wise at times. He's so truthful.

I know I'm the dude who always defends boxing, but Mike was absolutely right.
Last November, the first big fight in Cincinatti happened in years. It had a serious who's who of rising stars. It had on the menu:
Adrien Broner - home town fighter, bidding for the vacant WBO Super Featherweight belt.Gary Russell Jr. - currently the biggest hyped American prospect, has the fastest hands in boxingDeontay Wilder - only American boxer to win a medal during the 2008 Olympics, second best heavyweight prospect (next to Seth Mitchell), running a string of 20 straight KOs
Sounds awesome, right? Here's what happened:
Deontay Wilder wins by KO in the first round. 30 minutes elapsed until the next fight.Gary Russell Jr. win by KO in the first round. 30 minutes pass until the next fight.Adrien Broner wins by KO in the third round.
That 15 minutes of action compared to one hour of the audience waiting for something to happen.
To be fair, all were good fights. I bet a good portion of the audience still went home happy. But, it could have been better.

He is right in almost everything he says. Would never have thought, I'd agree with Mike Tyson again after all the **** he pulled but his words were wise in this.

Mike Tyson's actually an intelligent and insightful person based on a lot of what I've heard him say. He's also a motherfucking lunatic, based on the same.
Imagine a young Mike Tyson in the early UFCs. They would still be picking bits of Royce Gracie out of the front row seats to the octagon today.

I think he's become less of a lunatic over the years.

I've seen Gary Russell, even here in the UK. Terrific Prospect.
I liked Mike's comments and he has the wisdom to realise his Day is definitely Behind him.
Very Bright man - for all his many faults.

I don't think he is that bright..He just lowered the expectations from him so much that any coherent thought from him immediately sounds like a surprisingly smart pearl. You cannot be stupid and a great fighter..it just not possible.

Happens all of the time.

I dont think it takes wisdom to state the obvious.
