To be fair and honest, nobody becomes a top level fighter with a few fights, not even the WSM champion, let's give him a break, at least, you can't tell he's not trying.
Also, his management sucks because, with no prior experience, they had him fighting a former champ(Sylvia, even out of shape), and oponents definently NOT beginners in any sence; they went right away for the big bucks, just because he was a strongman champion, he had a "name".
Fighting isn't just about max bench press/squat/dead lifting, otherwise Bob Sapp would own the heavyweight boxing championship.
Yes, he's just a "show" for me, but I can't blame him for his choice to fight; he'd NEVER have earned that kind of money out of strongman competitions.
He'll never become a champion in MMA, but so what? There already exist hundrends of "fighters" who are " a joke", despite having trained specifically for fighting and not for lifting huge, WSM-kind heavy weights.Last edited by driver; 11/27/2011 7:59am at .

It's obvious he'll never be considered amongst the elite, but I'll be damned if he didn't deserve to win both those fights.
The reason he was brought in to fight Kimbo and the Pudz was that he's known for having a really soft jaw (Ten knockout defeats will earn you that reputation). The expected outcome was that Thompson would be spectacularly knocked out, thus enhancing their star power. Thompson fucked that up three times.
Hopefully, Pudzianowski will at least keep the Polish public interested in MMA long enough for some legitimate, non-freakshow stars to emerge. -
