Why do people still train in striking?
Don't get me wrong, striking of course is a necessary part of fighting, but all this focus on the striking range of fighting just seems excessive considering the realities of combat. All you need to do to nullify a striker is cover up, close the distance and grab him.
I mean if you can get lucky and hit a guy and drop him then good for you, but why risk it when you can just force the clinch and take him down, then punch him while he's on his back?
I see so many dedicating hours and hours of training into developing a skillset that really only is useful in a kickboxing match, I don't get you people.
Knowing is not enough, you must apply...
...Willing is not enough you must do
The quality of trolling on this site is really going downhill.

Gezere: paraphrase from Bas Rutten, Never escalate the level of violence in fight you are losing. :D
kettlebell workouts give you “cardio
without the dishonour of aerobics”.
Ke?pofist has surely already heard all of the striking counterarguments out there.
