Tang Soo Do, opinions please

Hi All,

I was wondering what your thoughts and opinions were on Tang Soo Do. From what I've read online, it similar to shotokan karate???

I saw a poster in the next town to where I live offering training, membership, insurance, and the grading fees for £15 per month (so the only thing that I can think of that you'd have to purchase is your training suit and any protective gear) which is very competitive. So I'm considering it, but would like to get other people's view on this.

ai trained with a guy who did TSD. I learned a few of the forms which consisted of deep stances and chambering of punches and blocks at the waste. It might work for one step and point sparring but I wouldn't consider it affective against continuous sparring or anyone with kickboxing or boxing training. Where are you located? Some members here familiar with your area might be able to recommend a school.I would only recommend TSD as a last resort.

Don't waste your time and money on Tang soo do, its universally dog shite.
