Eargrind: what it means to you

Recently, on a thread, we discussed the term eargrind, and what it means to the Bullshido community. Come back to this thread tonight, when you're drinking (if no drink, no read kthx) Has it become an independently self-perpetuating term at this point..or has it remained the province of STFUAbel? When you read/hear eargrind, do you immediately think of Rudy's specific incidence of fail, or do you think of failure, and underachievement in general?

Has the term eclipsed it's origins, and become, within these int3rnets walls, something independently irrelevant...or is it still specifically irrelevant?

Eargrinds are where cauliflower ears come from, they're part and parcel of grappling, a minor inconvenience.

Eargrind is when that noob white belt is trying to hold side control on me, and instead is pressing his knee onto the side of my head scraping my ear into the mat. Usually something that happens about 10 seconds before I rage and just decide to stop f***ing around.
