    Martial Arts Tiers(ranks)

I think a tier(rank) list of accepted martial arts would be useful. But I don't have enough knowledge to make a good one. Please help me. If you think a tier list is not even possible then please explain why.

    Assumption/condition for this list:
-condition: tier(rank) based on effectiveness of preparing one for a weaponless self defense situation
-assumption: MMA sparring currently gives the more realistic combat emulation, and so the titles will refer to combat in a MMA matches.
note: I'm not saying the assumption is correct. It's just there to take out arguments that just seem to take up space and not reach conclusions everyone can agree on.

    example:
OU(over used): MT, BJJ, Wrestling, kickboxing
BL(boarder line): karate, wing chun, judo, boxing
    UU(under used): TKD
    NU(never used): capoeira
-this is a very rough list and just for the use of showing an example, I do not have reasons to back it up
-I used terms from Pokemon (http://pokemon.neoseeker.com/wiki/Tier_listings) , but if you have better labels then please use them

What do you mean by "over used" and "under used"?

More importantly, don't you think it's time to put down the pokemons and try to be a big boy? (or girl, if appropriate.)

Never thought I would see the day when martial arts get ranked and judged in the exact same fashion as characters from Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. There is just so, so much wrong with that idea.
