Jim Grover COMBATIVES 1-3

Got a copy of the "Jim Grover COMBATIVES" series & I was pleasantly surprised, he may not have the depth of encyclopedic knowledge of a guy like Carl Cestari but the material was still quite good, very pragmatic. I'm definitely going to watch it all over again, tear it apart, take notes and assimilate a lot of little gems in there. Maybe sometime in the near future I'll have enough material for a in-depth critique of the whole series but not right away.
Has anyone else seen this series or have a copy of it? Any little choice bits you liked in particular?

Jim Grover is/was the pen name of Kelly McCann.
Kelly is the owner of Crucible and has a 'less is more' approach.
I've watched some of his videos.

I'm currently reading his 'Combatives for Street Survival:Hard Core Counter-measures for High-Risk situations'.

He has a combatives website as well as one for his security/training company.

Yeah, I know about that Kelly McCann aka "Jim Grover" thing. Weird. His material is still pretty good, for what it is.

It's "Combatives", right?
- Not exhaustingly comprehensive or complicated.
- Simple attacks, uncomplicated offensive techniques not requiring a lot of training or conditioning.
- Defensive techniques applicable to multiple attacks rather than a defensive technique for every kind of attack (Carl Cestari's "Old School" Combatives is similar in this respect, it's one of the things I really like about it).

I like the simplicity of it and the application (off the mat and out of the ring).
Brilliance in the basics. Violence of action. Identifying pre-assault indicators.
I was introduced to Kelly/Jim's concepts through my business partner who was, at one time, an instructor at Crucible. I'm just exploring his concepts at this point.

I like the Crucible material too. He may not be able to settle on a name, but he knows his **** ^_^

He does. And he's put it to the test.
I'm not a competitive martial guy. I like reading perspectives from guys that have actually had to use the combative formats they tout.
I'm also enjoying reading over the Rex Applegate, Fairbairn-Sykes material and taking things from it that I believe will work for me in the circumstances I find myself in. Out and about with my family. Traveling.

this is the type of training i have been looking for
i would love to supplement this with several years of BJJ study
