    Tactical Kung-Fu 九星会 Vol.006

    • If you missed 2-5 go find them yourself (like four lines down in the link to TacticalKungFu9's channel). They are not quite up to Bulltube level of awesome...

Vol.006 is as much if not made of more win than Vol.001

http://www.youtube.com/user/TacticalKungFu9 is of course a link to his channel so you can catch the installments I ignore.

      I wish you all luck.

Please note what I believe to be actual Systema T-Shirts in the mix.

I won't be watching 1-5, and those are actual systema t shirts. I'm guessing they have a smattering of experience in different arts and are trying to put it all together because they think it's all good. I can say that adding kung fu stancework to systema drills makes those drills worse, and I don't know why they're doing that.

I have heard OVER and OVER again that adding Systema drills and methodology to any style makes it more effective.

I do not agree with these people. It can seem that way because systema trains in a lot of elements not explicit in a lot of other arts, but that doesn't mean it will make what you started in better. In the systema I've done, drills don't rely on prescribed techniques practiced over and over, reseting in the middle. The value is in learning how to adapt, not to focus on the individual motion. That's kind of a kung fu thing I'm seeing in the video. So are extremely low stances to the point that the legs aren't moving in line with the rest of the body. It's like they were making a hybrid of the crappier parts of questionable arts.

I just can't stop watching these guys kick defenses.

    ...

    CodosDePiedra,

Compliant Kung Fu + Compliant Systema = Tactical Kung Fu

... I rarely do I feel like Systema is getting the shitty end of the stick but this time I feel that CMA's, Systema, and CQC are getting the poop end ... right in the eye.

This guy should embarrass everyone who practices a Martial Art. It is like watching that one Systema fatty do healing strikes on RobG.

I will say this of the systema training I've done- I don't see the kick defenses working, specifically the low roundhouse kick ones. There's only like 2 of us there who do proper kicks with the shin, and in my experience, you can't yield to them or you'll get kicked to the ground.
