I got into TKD in the late '70s and I recall talk of, and some clinics in "professional TKD" in the mid-80s or thereabouts. IIRC it was a sort of reaction to pro kickboxing. Nothing much came of it at the time, but maybe others ran with it.

LOL its not reality based tkd, it's reality bases/ tkd/ Judo ( I'm a "student" of alex haddox) who is from JIM Waggner's Reality Based Personal Protection. I wish there were a reality based tkd, then we could take of all the f**king pads and simulate reality... that and 1-steps...LMFAO
