Uncommon Footage of Yetbub Taekkyon

Hi guys, I just ran across some uncommon footage on Yetbub (옛법) Taekkyon demo by Jang Tae Sik (he was also in "Geochilmaru") on youtube, so I am putting this link to share.

Yetbub translates into English as the 'old ways/methods', it's not a style of Taekkyon, rather it is a term for calling techniques that are no longer used in the "competitions" for various reasons (1. it may cause too much pain/injury, 2.it was really intended to kill, 3. techniques that are just no longer used as competitions concentrated more on foot skills and take downs; ex-many hand techniques, 4. etc).
Since I had citation issue pointed out last time, I am just reading off info from excerpt of "택견 그리고 나의 스승 송덕기 (Taekkyon and My teacher Song Duk Ki)" by 도기현 (head of Kyulyun Taekkyon).

I heard about yetbub, but I think this is first time I saw an actual footage of it. I added loose translations of technique captions so enjoy.
1. Neck Hold Elbow Strike
2. Straight Kick
3. Strike to back of the neck
4. Granite Break
5. Stepping on the thigh and Elbow Strike
6. Hard Stomp/lunge? Kick to the Chest (I had hard time trying to translate this one)
7. Side Headbutt
8. Another Strike to back of the neck
9. Soaring Straight Kick

I was little surprised when caption said that board was in fact, a granite slab.

But I was more surprised at this:

This is Jang Tae Sik's hand, but I am not sure whether to call his hand an actual "hand" or a freaking mace.

Hmmm..... a hand that is bruised and swollen? I'd need to see another pic to be amazed.

I wasn't surprised because it was bruised and swollen, but rather because of how he permanently thickened his hand with calluses. It's just that I personally never ever seen anyone thicken their hand to that degree. Maybe you've seen more of these kind of things than I have, and don't find it a big deal.

Yes, I have with much less damage. That's why I don't find it amazing. I guess it would be different if it was his entire hand on both sides. The few palm glimpses you get look normal. It is just the specific area, that looks severely damaged, that is bigger than "normal."
