    Pacquiao Vs Cotto *Spoilers*

as the subject title says. holy ****.

this cotto match isn't even remotely close to what i conceived it would be.

I did not expect overwhelming domination.
I didn't expect Pacquiao to be like "Tee hee. those body shots hurt. They usually hit me with rattan sticks bitch."
I did not expect to see cotto being the one evasive and running away.

and I am a pacquiao nut hugger.

    just. WOW.

Absolutely gorgeous fight. If they can't put Pacquiao/Mayweather together after this, I think we can officially say that Floyd Jr. is ducking Manny in an effort to protect his "unbeatable" status. That said, I think Pacquiao lost some of his mystique last night as well...

Jesus. I lost money betting on Cotto, but I'm happy that Pac/Mayweather now has a chance at getting made.

I was sure that Cotto would take the UD.

What do you mean by lost some mystique? Because he got hit a few times? I disagree.

Not only did he take the punch of a strong welterweight, he showed that he carried his freakish power and handspeed up to 147. And his boxing skills continue to progress under perhaps the greatest trainer in the game.

If anything his mystique is enhanced IMO, its extremely rare to see a guy move up so much in weight and bring their power with them.

Cotto is a damn good boxer and he was struggling to survive against a smaller man.

I feel like Pacquiao's aura of infallibility faded, if just a bit. Cotto's never been known for his jab or keeping opponents on the outside. Even in the late rounds, though, he still managed to keep landing the left, and even managed to get in some solid hooks and power shots. While it was all for naught in the end, I can't help but feel like Mayweather is seeing the same things I am, the small holes in Manny's game that he might be able to exploit. Yes, we've learned that size doesn't limit Pac-man's handspeed, power, or newly discovered chin, but it's still something that Floyd could take advantage of.
