Omega Gets KTFOd? Not quite.
Let's talk about this.

TKO does not necessarily mean KTFO. In fact, an instance where a fighter is KTFO is usually recorded as "KO" not "TKO."
Also, what thorthe said.

I believe KKB trains under Marvin Perry. If Omega lost to him, props for stepping up in the first place. Perry is a beast.

I recall Omega telling me that story, but it isn't my place to speak for him. Although I think you are correct Steve, it was Marvin Perry.
The fight was a San shou tournament. Because it was an amateur event I decided to fight in the heavier weight classes. People were talking about Marvin I had no idea who he was, just some kid listening to some music.
When the match started I decided to establish my self and did a delay suplex for the first score. Thinking that would keep him at bay I decided to not press the action until he nailed me with a stiff front hand. I immediately shot and he stuffed me like nobody's business (damn he was strong). I was trying to see if I could get him to kick my outside forward leg but settled in too long and he came over with a high left round house.
I've never been kicked so hard in my life and I immediately dropped to a knee rather than take any other shots. As I reached up for my eye I realized I had a hemotoma (spell check please) the size of a baseball developing.
The ref came up and asked if I wanted to continue. The thought that ran through my brain "This is not a professional fight, you're not getting paid to be split open if you continue"
I looked at the ref and said "No, end the fight".
That was me being KTFO.
I have no problem saying I was ill prepared for Perry nor, til this day, admitting that he's better than me (at least as far as Kickboxing is concerned).
KTFO is what happened to Nate Quarry when he fought Rich Franklin, Crocop when he fought Gonzaga, and Eillers when he fought Buentello.
It involves a full loss of consciousness and generally the individual landing on the mat in a comical manner.
This is not an example of being KTFO.
No, but apparently the kids don't know the difference. Nor am I embarrassed by this loss. It's like saying you got beat by GSP. If you're going to lose a fight make sure it's not against a nobody. Marvin Perry is good decent fight.
