    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Wisdom Teeth: The Aftermath.

Well, It's almost been a week since my wisdom teeth got removed, and I am really glad with the results!
I only had to use the gauze for two days and I didn't have any serious pain set in after the numbness wore off. I am on antibiotics to prevent any infection where the teeth were cut out of, but other than that, no pain-killers. My cheeks blew up like a chipmunk's, though, but now they are almost back to normal.

Best part is that I haven't had any migraines/headaches since!
This has been the longest I have gone in a long time without getting any whatsoever, and all I've got to say is that it feels great. Now that the teeth are out, it also feels like my head is lighter, which might explain why my head felt so heavy when I had my migraines.

I still can't stress enough how important this surgery was to getting my old way of life back, and I am glad that it is all finally over.

After getting all the necessaries situated (school and driving), I plan to return to my martial arts training, and spend most of that time to judo. I already found a good judo school that's not too far away, and fits quite well with my schedule.

I can't wait to finally get on the mat and randori.

    Sincerely,

    ZoA.

    P.S.

Thanks to everyone who posted in my other thread to encourage me to get the operation and to not be afraid. You guys (and Lily) were right! Also, thanks for sharing your wisdom teeth stories as well. They really helped me to not feel like I was the only one who had such a problem.

Wish me luck on getting back into the game known as life!

    Best wishes to all

    ZoA.

Glad everything thing went well. Sorry if my horror stories freaked you out, I guess in retrospect it may not have been the best time to tell you about it :)

I hated getting mine pulled. Not the day of, but about a week and a half after when the blood gathered up in the empty sockets started leaking out while the space healed. My mouthed tasted horrible, probably because the blood had been dying in those spaces for a while before it started coming out. If you're lucky, you wont get that taste, but most people do at about the second week. Good luck, good to see you're healing up!

Hooray! Nice work. Send the dentist/mallofascial surgeon flowers or something. Or not. He probably charged enough.

FWIW, got my wisdom teeth out on Monday.

On mash and pudding ever since, while sitting in bed,
killing the Hydra on Castle Age, reading Prince Valiant comics, and watching Patlabor and, like, every Robin Hood movie ever.

Will go like this until about the weekend.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, at least I will loose some weight like that.

Junior bantam makes me feel fresh and funky.
And, yeah, me posting here is just an indicator
of how desperately bored I am right now.

    I WANT TO FIGHT!!!

Congrats, ZoA, this is the first I've heard of the situation, but I'm glad everything turned out well. Have fun getting your ass thrown around and folded over once your back in training.

Also, Rafael, I'm watching "Wanted" now and I just past that scene. Favorite part of the movie.

Dude, I had no idea! (Have not been keeping up with Facebook as of late).

Hope you heal up quickly and get back into fighting soon.

At least you haven't been racked by constant migraine issues since high school started, forcing you to drop out and do online schooling.
