So, if I want an M16A1 or sporterized version thereof, what is the best way to obtain
So, a while ago, I had posted a thread asking about the Century Arms A1 sporter, because the historian in me kind of wants an A1 style AR. I don't have an AR but if I were to get one I would prefer a more historical version. What would be the best way to get an A1 style AR anyway, if not through something like J&G sales? Bear in mind I don't have a federal license for full auto weapons, and I've also never built anything mechanical before.
Someone told me to look on gunbroker.com, which I did, and I saw a "Colt M16A1 parts kit" for 600 bucks. However I wasn't sure about exactly what everything needed to assemble an A1 style rifle would be. If I got a kit of some kind, what else would I need? Also, would I basically have to hire someone to assemble it for me?
