Well put, and neatly sums up some 2000 posts of drivel (mostly from Mr. Severe.) I am still left wondering if his Hapkido/TKD rank is legit.
I thought none of the judo organizations had any record of Ralph period.
It's not only his lack of having a dan rank, but any rank.
They do not list or hold record of Ralph Severe holding a Judo dan grade legitimised in the United States.
That doesn't mean that Severe doesn't have a certificate from some source, merely that the Judo NGB of the US do not recognise Severe as a Judo Yudansha
No, they have no record of him at all.
I wish you had linked the emails I posted; they address this question.
I'll update today mate no problem I missed those
Problem is, what is the source? Jukokai? USMAA? Their papers look nice, but they are worthless as neither group issues a rank connected to the IJF. So, again, in the US the papers have to come from USJI, USJA, or USJF.

It simply is not done under the IJF as people fight for their own Country. It is possible that someone having never done judo, in the military, might have entered events in another country, fought in the black belt division, and won through Batsugun. This falls apart in that anyone that good would be known, and registered when they returned to the US. However, we know Ralph did not go overseas in the military. In as much as Ralph will provide NO copy or scan of this paper, or even tell us where it comes from, there is simply no way to take this further.
So we are left with Occams Razor. We either have a complex series of events that might be possible, or a simple event, its a false claim.
The latter is much more likely.
