Preparing For First Muay Thai Fight! Help!
Been training muay thai for about 4 years. Our club organises various fights for its members and I have taken the plunge and agreed to an interclub fight on 18 days notice.
It is only going to 1 1/2 minute rounds and 3 rounds and no elbows or knees to the head. 16oz gloves and headgear a must.
Know I know its not much but I want my first fight to go well.
With 18 days to go do I train as usual or do I up my training? I have cut 1 & 1/2 stone over last 3 months (do I cut more?). I currently spar 3 minute rounds (do I keep doing it up to fight & risk injury?). I didnt want to over train but I do want to be on top form.
Also on the day, how long before fight do I eat & what do I eat?
I know it is not a big deal but it means a lot to me! Any help would be appreciated.
