Weight Lifting, muscle mass, and BJJ: how to train for th3 d34dly
I just wanted your opinion on this:
I am pretty skinny, I weigh about 140 lbs and 5'8". I have been thinking about joining a conventional gym to do weight lifting before I get back into BJJ (my BJJ experience dates back to about ten years ago, albeit on and off), since I used to weigh 155 with less fat as well. But this bring up the BIG QUESTION:
If you need muscle mass, is it better to lift weights and "bulk" before, or during BJJ training? Or is it better to use bodyweight exercises for BJJ?
