Martial Arts Federation Great Britain
My Sensei is Alex C Sylvan and he is a 4th Dan in Shotokan Karate. I still haven't received my red belt and it's been over 9 years . My class I attend usually spars by holding each other and pushing to build up strength aswell as kumite with punches, kicks and blocks. We have to count in Japanese aswell (Ichi 1, Ni 2, San 3, Shi 4) but not all of the numbers because the Dojo (Training Hall) is only big enough for 10 or 11 Karateka students at one time. Because this is Shotokan it is very difficult to be worthy of a grading and, My Sensei does not always give 1-to-1 tutition because of the high attendance rate of of 12 people in one small room used as a Dojo. Even though they have other Community/ Leisure Centers and Town Halls that they use as Dojo's all over London and the rest of Great Britain and Ghana in Africa aswell. I personally use their class at the Hampstead Interchange Studios (formerly the Hampstead Town Hall) here in the United Kingdom, because it's local to my home. Classes usually cost at £4.00 for Adults and £3.50 for Children per session. The atmosphere is lively but not everyone remembers to Osu! and bow before entering the Dojo. Their main HQ is at Regent House, 316 Beulah Hill, London SE19 3HF

I have joined this site to reply to this fabricated thread.
I am located in Japan. I have trained and taught Classic Ving Tsun for many years, and keep the standard that was taught to me by Master Victor Kan.
