Teaching Someone to Keep Their Elbows In
So, a while ago, I started teaching my girlfriend some basic punching techniques. We worked on the jab and right cross via shadowboxing and padwork. One problem I noticed she had big time was keep her elbow in when punching, especially on the right cross. It was flagging out majorly.
I was thinking of trying to have her throw punches while standing with her right side against a wall, so as that her elbow will be forced to stay in while punching. Anyone have any other ideas on how I can best correct this problem?
