Bob Sapp was a standout college football player and appeared in ONE regular season game in his entire football career before washing out of the league due to sucking/steroids. Lesnar hadn't played football since high school and only had a shot due to sheer size and athleticism. Holding that against him is ridiculous.
Also Bob Sapp basicasically had no skills at anything besides bum rushing people and throwing wild punches. He was just so damn huge and aggressive he could beat a lot of guys. At least Lesnar has a really solid wrestling background to fall back on. Obviously he needs to train A LOT and develop other skills, but I think he's already more skilled than Sapp.
Of course, and that's why "feeding" him to someone like Kongo is idiocy. He has the strength needed to beat a lot of people (i.e. good wrestling).
I think Brock beats Kongo easily.
Puts Kongo on his back and LnP to victory
I think Brock could be the real deal.
The problem is it takes wrestlers a couple years to get out of LnP and into GnP
So even though I think Brock could beat a lot of people it would be boring and not good for him or the sport at first.
That's an entirely different point.
