My problems also due to years of practicing the 'hard arts' in the old way ('bouncing' the stretches, often with an instructor jumping on my knees!), all proved to be godawful training techniques since. The years of soccer didn't help either.
I have noticed with my OA that there are things that make it better, and movement is definitely one of them. Gentle movement through the full range. But I also find there are factors that affect it that I can't influence - i.e I have good days and bad days.
I have been told many times that Tai Chi is the way to go. I live in China at the mo and all the old folk do it. You should see some of them go! I think you've made the right choice
CASSIUS - arthrosis is the medical name for a joint. It is also a medical name for a degenerative disease of the joint, much like arthritis, but slightly different. Both bitches though.
