X-Factor Mixed Martial Arts
A friend of mine is looking into this school http://www.xfactormma.com. I can't find any info on these guys, and haven't heard anything back in email. Here's a blurb about them from their web site:
They may be legit, but it would be nice to know if anyone is familiar with them.
Coach Phillips has been training in the martial arts for the past 20 years and has fought competitively in boxing, kickboxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In addition to his competitive career, Coach Phillips has been teaching the martial arts for the last 10 years to various military and law enforcement Special Operations personnel, as well as other law enforcement officers at the municipal, state, and federal levels.
Happily married and the father of four boys, Coach Phillips is heavily involved in little league sports, church youth activities, and spending time with family. A former Navy SEAL and Plano PD SWAT officer, Coach Phillips is now a full-time federal law enforcement instructor.
Coach Mathers has been training in the martial arts for the past 10 years and wrestled while in junior high and high school. During his martial arts career, Coach Mathers studied Japanese Jiu-Jitsu under Master Darryl Laroe for 6 years. While studying Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, Coach Mathers decided to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Carlos Machado and has studied the art for the last 4 years.
Coach Mathers is very involved with the youth sports in Wylie, TX and enjoys drawing the potential out of every kid that he coaches. His personal relationship with Christ and his involvement in the church body at New Hope Christian Church have been very instrumental in Coach Mathers life. Happily married with 3 boys and a girl, he is dedicated to his wife and helping raise their 4 children.
