I can't speak to the health benefits of taking ACV, but I have found a few ways to get it in to you if you do decide to take it....
The honey and ACV in water thing works great - 2 tbsp of ACV, 2 tbsp of non-pasturized honey in about 3 cups of water. Put the vinegar and honey in the bottom of the cup, add about 1 cup of hot tap water and stir to blend, then fill up with cold water. It's a tangy drink, but it should be dillute enough to keep your gag reflex down.
You can also make a decent salad dressing with some ACV, orange flavoured fish oil (I know, who thought that was a good idea?) shaken together with some soy sauce, ginger, a little orange juice and some salt and pepper. This isn't bad if you pour it over a spinach salad topped with orange segments, almonds and chicken.
is it vinegar to wash down the snake oil, or snake oil to wash down the vinegar?
God, who knows? It's all yuck to me.
Sigh, don't you just wish that someone would make the brilliant discovery that chocolate is actually the path to true health and wellness? I don't mean 'dark chocolate contains a few anti-oxidants so you can justify eating it', I mean something that would actually move it to medicinal status? Then there would be an RDI assigned, something life several hundred grams a day, and you could go to your doctor and get a prescription for Hershey or Dove, depending on what you were trying to treat, and your insurance would pay for it. Sigh.
OK - must be afternoon snack time.
One must ask, has this been discussed before?
Seriously though, one must have a look at an older thread with the identical thread title.
Apple Cider Vinegar
The original poster there, Bolverk, had a sizeable number of posts at the time and was a fairly intelligent member if I recall correctly. Apple cider vinegar with orange juice!??
Thanks PizDoff. Anyone hear from that guy lately? I am wondering how it turned out for him.
