Uchimata seems to be hardwired into my head, though lately I seem to be overthinking it and fucking it up.
It's supposed to be tai otoshi, because while I'm relatively short my legs are very long, but I always **** it up (it's beautiful in uchikomi but telegraphed in randori).
I love to do either kouchi-gari to drop seoi-nage or seoi-nage to kouchi-gari, I've been pretty successful with those two combos.
If you are more of a Judo noob than me, then I hate you for having success with this.Quote:

Keep trying, the trick is to do the seoi like you mean it, you need to get a reaction.
It's fucking great, gets everybody.
Edit: Oh and **** the gake. Sweep the leg, don't block it, makes it 100% better.
Ippon seio nage. It's the ONLY throw I've successfully done on its own in randori. Then this seems to happen a LOT: Dude comes in for hip, grip or other thing that kinda turns 'em a sec and I can land pretty good tani otoshi's (valley drop) and/or Kosoto gaki/gari, these counters plus ippon seio are my bread and butter.
O Soto Gari
Here's what you're doing wrong.Quote:

What do I mean? I mean when you go for the seoi, you have to go for it. If you get it, that's great! Then you don't need to flow to the next technique. If you feel them stopping you, only then should you go to kouchi. A "fake" is usually without entry. You fake a direction. You fake an uchi mata by skipping in but maybe you change directions and go to a tani otoshi instead. The point is that if you go all in, it's not a fake. Nor should it be treated as such.
I'm using to many words here.

(easier said than done for me by the way)
The problem is if you flub it you're in a real shitty position and I find that little hesitation screws me up all the time.
Honestly, I'm too low a rank to be taught it, and too afraid of horribly fucknig up if I just try it on my own. (It looks soooo coooool tho'):eusa_wallQuote:
