Behold, our new MP5 and an M4.
Ok, so they're airsoft guns, but they're still cool. Full auto, battery powered and surprisingly accurate at reasonable ranges (I was pegging a pizza box reasonably consistently from circa 200 feet away with the MP5)
I consider them our new "sparring guns".
While I dont have an MP5 varient (yet) The m4 feels very realistic, being made primarily of metal. The mp5 also feels more or less like the real deal which I've played with in the past. They have the same sight picture as their real counterparts so I think they're potentially useful training tools if one wanted to train to shoot people for whatever reason... Next on the list is a beretta 92 varient so I can practice my pistoling ;)
But yeh they're cheap to shoot and I can shoot people with them. We went out to a field yesterday and creeped around in the bushes shooting at people (who were of course, shooting back). It was pretty cool.
Anyways, here's a video of me doing some indoor target practice. The BBs tear the **** out of cardboard from about 20 feet away. Going through both sides of the box (I'm using a towel as a backdrop because they also make sizeable dents in the drywall) Don't forget to note what an awesome shot I am.
