I need some tips on how to transition from an ankle lock that isn't working to a heel hook. I have found some difficulty in trying to get the foot out and repositioned well. Either the person is just taking the pain or they have manipulated their foot positioning some how so that I am slightly too deep. Is transitioning from ankle lock to heel hook even a good/plausible idea? I'd ask the instructor but I don't see him till next Tuesday and I'd like to hear what you all think.
