That brightened up a rainy day, thanks
That was amazing........
I do have to admit I've got some great video of me getting smashed and playing with one of those, so its a bit hypocritical of me to laugh
but I'm gonna go ahead and laugh anyway
sorry but it has already been posted in vid of disaster...
but its still funny
The liklyhood of hurting yourself goes up when handling a "soft" weapon. Especially when you don't know what you are doing.
It's alot easier to hurt your self, than the guy infront of you, when learing that thing. Fun part of the 3 sectional is that most of the time when you scew up, you hit your self twice. Good memories.
Has anyone ever seen one of these things used correctly? I played with one once, for about 5 seconds before I decided it was more dangerous to the user than the enemy.
Ah, memories. In about 1983 I bought a 3SS and a copy of Kam Yuen's book "Three Sectional Staff" from Asian World of Martial Arts and proceeded to beat myself half to death in my parents' backyard for several months as I learned the form in the book, and learned what a godawful, impractical weapon 3SS is. It combines the worst aspects of hard and soft weapons, IMHO -- there's three sticks (one more stick than you have hands) and when you try to stop it the laws of physics are going to make at least one of those sticks fly around from an unexpected angle and whack you. Plus, I had a 3SS with those stupid decorative metal rings (attached to the links that connect the sticks) that occasionally wedged themelves together just right to make one of the sticks stop in mid-flight.
3SS -- just say no, kids.
