If I do make the trip, I probably will want to stick around for the weekend. I would be totally down for an epic pub crawl after training.
However, I might give you guys a few pointers as to where to go, depending on the type of drink you prefer.
Wine is typical here, brought over by the Romans anno, and we have a kind of winemaking rennaissance lately, so there are quite a few good wines available for reasonable prices (especially white varieties, but also some interesting red ones).
I am not a beer drinking person, but there are also a couple of small quality beer brewers here. Generally though, Czech beer is considered to be superior (and is widely available).
The typical hard liquors of the region are fruit and berry based, over 45percent (and more). We also have some typical herbs infusions, which are usually lower in alcohol.
We might visit my favourite bottle shop for a bigger picture (and some bottles to take home, maybe) or the whisky bar that I go to occassionally.
Discussion on where to go can follow after we beat the **** out of each other on the mats. :)
I was really REALLY hoping I wouldn't have to make this post, but the writing's been on the wall for a few weeks now.
Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make it to this, as much as I'd like to. Katje's ill-health has prevented her from working for some time now and I've been forced to redirect my travel-fund to keeping us afloat.
Oh man, that sucks.
Hope Katje will get well soon. Then I expect the both of you to show up... :)

Alright, folks, letīs recount the bodies... :)
Please everybody who is coming, post here. We are getting close to the date.
Thank you, looking forward to see you guys.
Afraid it is doubt for me and I can't say either way for sure yet.
I had cover for work arranged but the inconsiderate bastard went and got himself a full time job...on the hunt for someone else to do it now.
I've read the last few posts and it's not great news, unfortunate I have to add to that feeling also.
I'm drowning in work and won't be in that part of the world until somewhere mid 2015, so I'm out too :-(
