If I were you I would take a serious look at the metabolic damage videos by Layne.
Most probably your body has adapted to low calories and you would really have to mess yourself up in order to cut some weight.
If you raise your metabolism gradually, maybe you could cut weight and look better naked easier.
Monitor your intake weigh everything and raise just some 50 cals per week.
See how it goes, what do you have to lose, right?
You have road ahead of you.
Starting strength then into a good 5X5 (I like madcow) and lots of calories (500 surplus is about right) for at least 6 months. A year is better. Rebuild your muscle and your metabolism, then focus on stripping away fat. Lay off all the jogging.
Getting "cut" is a very different animal.
I was responding to this:
So now you're moving the goalposts.Quote:
There's no such thing as over training BUT there is such thing as under eating and under resting.
JDS had brown piss.
I have some experience with over training.
I trained 6 days a week, judo and wrestling in the PM (very intense) and lifted in the AM for a while, eating little over 1000 calories because I wanted to look "cut".
As expected I didn't drop any bodyfat even with the grueling training.
I ended up throwing up after wrestling one day and was unable to eat or do anything properly for a good 3 weeks, couldn't concentrate on anything, I was literally sick from training too much, felt like ****, man.
Over training is possible, but not as common or easy to get as people think.
Of course this is just a story not scientific evidence or anything.
