So she would have probably been even more likely to talk to Lloyd about what these guys did to her. And they still didn't apparently care.
Add to that the fact they filmed it on their on cellphones and bragged about it in the gym the next day...
Where did that information come from?
Keenan told Keenan's dad, hmmm. Still, as biased as the source is, this is not a vague statement.
Sam, it may have been something like "she's so drunk, she won't remember <what happened/that it was me>" plus the ever-popular "I'll just say it was consensual", which as I've said elsewhere, would have worked pretty damn well if there wasn't incriminating videotape.
The BJJ community needs to make it eminently clear that not only is Mr Irvin's students' behavior completely unacceptable, but so is Mr. Irvin's. By this I mean he did too little too late. He should have immediately issued a statement after the incident that not only is rape a heinous and violent crime, but that it was made so much worse because the victim was raped by her team mates. HER TEAM MATES!
I'm sorry, but I simply can't fathom that breach of trust. I respect my team mates more than I do most humans because I literally sweat and bleed with them. I don't understand how anyone could abuse that trust in such a horrific manner.
Georgette does a great job of breaking down Lloyd's letter.
I like how his rationalization is "I never raped anyone," while conveniently leaving out "I was going to join in on the act, but my penis didn't work."
Any of you that bitch about me and semantics need to remember this bullshit. That is a REAL semantic based excuse.
