As for the name game here. A guy teaches a style here in Portland that I'm pretty sure he made up but I'm a noob so maybe not. It's called "Shorinji Ki Do". Claims to be a "mixed martial art" before they were called that. Traditional karate, jujutsu, and weapons training...... I don't know. You be the judge.
Can only be done with partner.
Chum Kune Do
Anything Goes Martial Arts.... Only thing worse than the name is watching the youtube videos.
Special Combat Aggressive Reactionary System (SCARS)
@ hanni, I didn't know we had one of his students on here!
Kata Shubu do Ryu, a brazilian karate style, mix of Goju-ryu, Wado-ryu, Shotokan-ryu, Jiu-Jitsu and Taekwondo. The "master" SÚrgio Francisco de Sena, founder of the style have now the 22nd dan. Yup. 22.
Funny that this thread exists because there is a name of a school that has been in the back of my mind for a while; fearless fitness. Does anybody else think that this is a horrible name for a club? What if I told you that it is run by soccer moms and some crazy bearded white guy teaching kung fu and western fencing? Would this knowledge change your prospective? My girlfriends mom trains there so i had to try it out once... not cool.
As I write this I googled the school and they changed their name to "Tosetti institute of MMA & Fitness"... not sure if i like this name any more than fearless fitness.
