Still not clear on the Pontius Pilate reference. Decades ago, in a school far, far away, we were taught that he was reluctant to have jc executed, and only allowed it to placate a mob of zealots and highly-offended rabbis or whatever they called themselves back then. As I recall, there was even an offer from Pilate to free him and execute someone else (Barabbas), but the local taliban and their merry crew wanted jc dead.
The bit about fighting harlots makes more sense, though. Never could buy into the accuracy of the peaceful-hippy sounding "let-he-who-is-without-sin-cast-the-first-stone" tale. If there's one thing about middle-eastern cult leaders, they're consistent--and going apeshit with jihad-rage, about things they don't agree with, is indeed their well-established norm.
