just read an interesting article in FIGHT! magazine about the size of the ring and size of fighters, has an affect on knock-out rates. so, for smaller rings, less space to move around brings fighters closer to toe-toe. also noticed the bigger the fighters, (welter-heavy) have higher knockout rates as well.
my question is, would this data be true if you werent in a ring or cage? for example a street fight? im sure there would be many contributing factors to this; how many opponents, terrain, weather. but im thinking if you did these tests with street confrontations, it would turn out the same.
