The difference between what happens to a 70-something person who sits on his ass, and a 70-something person who trains:
And with those pictures I am off to training :)
Thank God I went running at Lunchtime.
I might share these with my dad.
When I was a young lad growing up I was afraid of getting old because I kept hearing of dear old people falling and breaking a hip. I never understood why, I thought it was something inevitable in old age. Osteoporosis, loss of balance and muscle mass were all things that do come with old age but are combated by exercise and good diet. That and keeping those young whipper snappers in line is great motivation to stay active.
I definetly need more cardio work, and I'm glad the last few days I did just that. I must continue doing it though, despite working in shifts.
Training sounds like a great idea. Off to do that now. I'd rather die an in-shape old man than a weak old man.
I don't need monday motivation, I need thursday and friday morning motivation : ).
