Sydney: New gym opening
I havent posted here for a few years. I am posting because an established MMA / BJJ trainer is opening a gym close to where i live & i'll be keen to start training again.
I trained with him at Northside Martial arts & it was awesome there. but on the other side of the city... made it kinda difficult to continue
I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with Anthony Lange & if they have any info about the new place he is opening in Artarmon.
http://langesmma.com/ <-- his website
http://langesmma.com/langes-mma-arta...nday-29th-aug/ <-- notice about new gym
I have tried calling & will call again, but i'm curious if anyone has any information on
- who will be running the gym
- will there be an established group of people attending, or will it be mostly noobs
Maybe check out their Facebook page, social media is usally more active.

cool, i didnt think of facebook.
Yeah, I just know it's easier for early businesses to use social media (less skill ceiling) than updating website through CMS or HTML.

I am one of the owners of the Langes gym opening in Artarmon, yes it will be a great facility
Anthony Lange is the head instructor (2nd degree black belt BJJ) with Darko Zaric (Black belt, Aust heavyweight BJJ champ) and Damien Jeffreys (purple belt, thai boxing instructor) backing him up, we will probably have a few guys from our other gyms at Manly and Warriewood transfer up however we expect the gym to be mostly fairly inexperienced people to start with.
The website for the gym is langes-mma.com (note the dash in the middle), langesmma.com is Manly only. On the front page you can "like" each of our gyms and then be updated via facebook, otherwise check the news and blogs section of the website.
The gym itself is over 400m2 with two large matted areas, heavy bags, pads, kick shields, caged sections and all the other bits and pieces you need to train. We plan to have some decent photos up on the website soon.
We open 29th August so pop in and have a look , our timetable is on the website.
Hopefully this answers a few of your questions
