The sound of the throwee's collarbone shattering was heard around the gym, and this was on good padded judo mats. To say that it's a safe way to take someone down in the streets seems to be the height of stupidity.
To be fair, a suplex can have varying degrees of impact. You can rock them over your hip gently (safety suplex), you can bridge and turn out to the side to lessen the blow, or you can just full on back arch them on their head.
I seem to remember Quentin Jackson breaking a shoulder with a suplex in his 2-3rd fight at PRIDE, against...Masake Satake? I think that was it, according to Quadros he was a former winner of the K-1 Japan tournament.
