strength while maintaining weight
I'm familiar with the concept to gain mass you must be eating more calories than you burn. To loose weight you must have a calorie deficit. My question is, how much strength can be gained from a solid lifting program WHILE loosing weight or maintaining current weight. Also if I am about at my ideal weight would it be more effective to go on a gaining phase for a couple months and then cut some of the fat I gained. OR should I not worry about gaining and cutting and just continue lifting and training hard while maintaining my current weight.
