Preparing mentally for a competition
Hey so I had trouble finding this with my search fu so I decided I'd post here.
I read some articles on it and I'm totally getting pumped up but I'd like to ask what you're view is.
Two weeks ago I saw that there was a competition this upcoming week so I decided to sign up. Being that I've trained for years, sparred a lot but only competed one time (I lost and of course took it out on my sparring partners the following week cuz it was to a less experienced guy and I lost cuz I was cocky) so I called the organizers and they asked me about my background/experience they told to put me in advanced division.
Quite a mountain to climb but I have always done better under high pressure than when things were easy. To add pressure I will have had only 2 weeks to prepare for the competition when I show up.
So, any advice?
