- I started studying Pentjak, an Indonesian martial art that borrows (steals) techniques from Hung Ga(r), Wing (Ts)chung, Muay Thai, and Silat. I studied with private instruction for two years before my teacher and I had to part ways due to life circumstances. I continued refining the technique that I knew regarding the art but was stuck without instruction. This last winter, I decided to get back into the game with some more instruction and have been studying Hung Gar at the University of Washington IMA in a club
