Martial Arts Experience:

I studied Kung Fu as a teenager at Yang's Martial Arts in Massachusetts. In college I trained in BJJ/MMA with Bill Bradley from SBG Portland, and later spent some time training at that gym under Matt Thornton. I began visiting Haiti in 2002, and have studied Haitian Machete Fighting under master fencer August Avril since 2004. Through my start-up non-profit organization, Cultural Capital Haiti, I lead a program in which adventurous foreigners are invited to come to Haiti to train in this living martial arts system.
