Martial Arts Experience:

Began boxing at 6, wrestling at 8, studying martial arts at 10. At 12, began taking old school MMA from an instructor who hybridized Karate, Aiki-jujitsu, Jujutsu, Kung-fu, Muay Thai, and Japanese weapons fighting into his own style. Achieved junior instructor status in 5 years, then off to the Army in '88.

Starting Dec. '88, fought NHB in Europe and western U.S., boxed/wrestled for Army teams, moonlighted security in biker bars/strip clubs—nothing like the crucible of street-fights with booze-addled semi-psychotics to test the soundness of one's training!

Got tired of dodging bullets, both literal and figurative, in '93. Left the military and competitive fighting after five years and almost 200 bouts with everything more or less intact. Decided I'd rather get paid to make **** up instead of being punched in the face.

These days, I train MMA with high-level amateurs and local pro fighters—for play, not pay, which shows how smart I am after taking all those shots to the head.
