- Martial Arts Experience:
- Started TKD in 1985 in the United States Taekwondo Allaince, now the ITA. Joined the US Marine Corp in 1989, honorably discharged in 1990, suffered a broken back and was not allowed to stay. Worked as a police officer in a small town from 1991-1992. Started Judo in 1995, saw UFC 1 realized that TKD was not practical and found a good Judo club. Competed regularly in both styles with some amount of success. Started MMA competition, 1-0, in 2000 but due to several knee surgeries I am retired, I laugh when I say this, and don't actively compete. Currently coaching Judo and MMA with some success.
Started down the BJJ path in 2008.
