- Taekwondo refugee. Did it for five years, got a black belt. It's only as lame as the person who's doing it. Teaching it was quite rewarding. Plus I could give students my take on things, which in some schools may have rocked the boat too much, but my instructor gave me some leeway. The main problem was 14yr olds who believed they were gods. Oh, and demos...and tournaments...and skits...and very little grappling...and........
Now I'm doing renaissnace martial arts through ARMA, and I'm looking into BJJ to overcome my lack of grappling experience.
