  1. A person that I worked out with for five years turned out to not be a very good person, and hence had to stop that. I continued to punch on my bag here at home, and went to the school once and was told I don't move around the bag enough, as I like to punch alot. Now i find myself thinking i was doing that all wrong and stopped kinda. I told a teacher that I was afraid i will loose my momento and i am... i feel no strength coming from there. What to think?
  2. I feel myself wanting to pull away but don't want to. What is the role of a true leader sensi? Do they take pride in helping their students succeed?
  3. But i seem to be losing my growth in karate, but alot of it has to do with them wanting me to brown belt test, and me running away. I am in a divorce that the wool was pulled over me eyes and a newish job that is much like a test. I am giving my feet time to heal and have been going only once a week and feel sad that I don't have enough courage to go to an evening class, as I am a noon student... which now the reg instructor wasn't there due to it being summer classes. and more...
  4. That didn't help my feet... actually really played a real role in my fattie cushions on my feet thin out. I am only 42. I have only also made it to red stripe. Actually All i have to do is take a test. I want to look better with my tornados and spins and jump and flying kicks before I go forth. My sensi... which is confusing cause I had one earlier and a different later and then even a different one now, but knew them all from before... one retired and sold it to the other 2 instructors
  5. I remained on until the mid 2007, when I got my ACL replaced and got pregnant with my fun daughter. Went back to karate in june of 2009. I've been there since. Am a bit sad cause now my feet are failing, my other knee weak. Also I haven't lost much weight but am a bit stronger than I look. I worked out for over 5 years sparring and punching and kicking in his garage.
  6. Ok, I feel like sharing my story. I joined Karate in 2004 because my son was joining (6at the time), and I wanted to join so I could get to know the people that will be influencing my son. Also I really loved kicking and arm punching and wrestling when i was young, so i was curious too. Well, son didn't like it too much and stayed in it for a year and a half and got up to purple stripe. I was very proud of him but he wasn't interested. (more to come)
  7. talk with me someone. I want to learn and be wise
  8. well howdy there folks. I hope the week is full of fun and thrilling moments.
  9. I stumbled onto this site by looking up inverted feet, :Hehehe:as I had them bad when younger. They had me wearing these thick loud metal things going down the sides of both legs and attaching to these big brown shoes. :Baww:If they lifted me off the ground my feet would spring outwards. I have neuroma and Plantar Phashitis? in both. Time for my Brown belt test. But gotta get on my feet again.:PFFFTCCHCHCHHFFFTTT Anyway... funny and cool yall r. Thanks for listening.

Martial Arts Experience:
In2004, June, I asked my son of 6 what he would like to do more... soccer or karate, and he said karate.
I wanted to see who would be spending time with my son and so I joined as well and ending up loving and respecting it. Besides taking time off for a baby, ACL replacement, and back surgery... hahaha... and 3 hernias fixed I am still active.
Yep, I should be of higher level by now, but I am going real slow...about two times a week. now I am over due for my brown belt. I feel I need to be better. And during this time, others comment on how old my red stripe card is turning to dust more less...haha... my feet start stuff on me. After 2 months of plantar fashatis now also I have a neuroma in both feet. Just waiting for the orthodics to arrive and hopefully that will help cause I don't want to get shots for the burning. That's about it except I'm fighting discouragment; but know everything is alright.
