I've been on and off since I was a 8. I earned a yellow belt in TKD about 13 years ago. In middle school I was a varsity wrestler but only won matches because of my strength. The head coach said "you're not a wrestler, you're a rumbler". I ended up getting dropped off the team for low grades and missing practice. I went to boxing when I was 14 and trained so hard that I threw my back out. (I wasn't conditioned well enough) I've also tried out Judo. I joined the military and have done pretty well in Army Combatives. I've finally found a place to train before I head to Afghanistan and want to get as much Muay Thai and BJJ in as possible. This time, I won't give up. I want to take the things I learn and practice them overseas. I also intend to learn more from some of the guys in my unit that do MMA. I am planning on going to a Muay Thai traning camp in Thailand a month or so after I return to the US. I want to train there for a month or two and fight in Thailand.
