growing up scotch-irish in alaska getting the snot beat out of me by my farmboy cousins gave me an interest in oriental (Japanese in particular) martial arts, which i have really just begun learning seriously. My good friend from college-town, (whose mma experience goes back to age 7) has taken me as his "student", in an often-times fruitless effort to make me a better fighter. he's committed to my training enough to help me find the path, and i look forward to a lifelong walk..
