Anyone had any experience/opinion on the Battery Assist Device from Magpul?

Thinking of putting one on my VTOR lower but as usual I'd like to hear from anyone using the device.

I have been considering one too.
Pro: One handed operation of the bolt release.
Con: Booger hook through the trigger guard to operate it.

Yep, similar thoughts, cheap enough to be expendable though
Oh and ordered a latch extension, should be here soon, I'll post a picture when I've fitted it. If I can get on with it not catching kit ect I'll leave it on.

Yeah I've seen the redi-mag before, this looks like a variant, I'm surprised at the cost tho. That's a bit steep.
I already use the fast mag system which is decent enough for my needs

The redimag is more for a LEO or Security patrol rife. For those times when you have to grab the gun and find your self fighting your way to your PC and and the rest of your bailout/Active shooter gear.
I haven't used one, but I don't see any potential problems with it. It allows you to operate the bolt catch normally as well, so there shouldn't be any issues with fumbling under stress.

Eh...for me, in my opinion---it's just one more thing to get hung up on in the vegetation or to get in my way doing speed reloads. It might work perfect while standing on a paved firearms range, while wearing your polo + 5.11 khaki pants + Oakley's + ballcap...but I've heard enough mixed reviews on them to politely say, "No Thanks--I'm probably faster without it."

Yeah.. I get the jist mate thanks.
Anyway, here's an update picture with both BAD and charging handle latch installed.
If I find theses get in the way I'll reverse the install.

Congrats on a beautiful piece, there buddy. Nice gun...nice accessories. Pure win all the way around. Let us know how that BAD works out for you...do some range tests...put a pair of shooting gloves on....try to activate it from different body positions. A good range report might change some minds...including my own. My opinion was simply based on appearances, it's relative position inside the trigger guard, and how I have the unfortunate bit of luck to get snagged on literally every piece of foliage in the damn forest...hell, with my luck, I'd end up with my shoelaces caught in that damn thing! lol
Best of luck with it...and again, keep us informed!

I have no idea how that shoots, but it looks like a high tech, long range, staple gun.
Also, 10 round magazine?
